It is very important for us and for you to meet local producers to understand how cloves are grown and harvested, and to establish a relationship of trust with them. This enables us to work with them to select the cloves with the highest eugenol content.
Thanks to our trip to Madagascar, we will be able to produce a high-quality CogniSpice botanical extract with a high eugenol content that is good for brain health.
In Madagascar, cloves are the country’s second biggest source of income after vanilla. By sharing their daily lives and working with the growers, we are able to supplement the incomes of Madagascan families. There are 18,000 growers for 27,000 hectares under cultivation, representing 13% of world production and 58% of African production.
